  • Christmas 2017 Events

    January 12, 2018

MetroGrace ministries serve children, teens and adults in neighborhoods throughout the city. Last month, the Thrive Christmas Party enabled teens from our communities to have some fun. Please pray for continued growth in this important group for urban youth.

Four MetroGrace churches held seven different worship services on Christmas Eve. Pete and Danielle Forshtay and their teams led worship in Bridesburg and Wissinoming that morning. They returned to those neighborhoods in the evening to sing Carols by Candlelight. Kingdom Kids shared in worship at Holmesburg that morning; and, neighbors gathered by candlelight that night. Crossroads Rhawnhurst held its very first Candles & Carols service on Christmas Eve. Mike and Margarete Connor and their team welcomed several first-time guests!

  • Another New Neighborhood Church!

    March 01, 2017
We are delighted to be starting another new church in Philadelphia. This time we are focusing on the Rhawnhurst neighborhood in Northeast Philly. Our desire is to plant neighborhood churches throughout the city. Our goal is to start gospel-focused and community-based churches. As such, we have secured a rental space in the Artisian Plaza, 8100 Roosevelt Boulevard. Affectionately called, "The Boulevard," it is the major north/south residential corridor in northeast Philly. It is also known as U.S. 1 and U.S. 13.

Pastor Frank Yost will be leading this congregation as the church planter. Read more about this exciting development here.

  • A Gift of Bibles!

    February 03, 2017
The Grace Brethren Church in Owing, MD sent 40 new pew Bibles for our newest church plant in Bridesburg. We were thrilled with the gift of God's Word! This gift will provide many of our neighbors the ability to actually handle a Bible for the first time. Please pray with us that these 40 Bibles will have a lasting impact in this increasingly secular, post-Christian, city.

  • First conversion and baptism at Bridesburg!

    January 08, 2017
On Sunday evening, January 8, we witnessed the baptism of a young man that was led to Christ by Pastor Jim Brown. It was exciting to witness this young man's public testimony about his faith in Jesus Christ. His Mom and step-father were in attendance as well. Please pray for Andrew as he begins woirking through the "Growing in Christ" discipleship materials with our pastor-in-training, Mike Conner. You can see more of the story and a picture of the baptism in the February 2017 newsletter here.
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day Services

    January 04, 2017
We celebrated a joint Christmas Eve service at our Holmesburg location; and, Christmas morning services at Wissinoming and Holmesburg. A Christmas evening service was also celebrated at Bridesburg. Attendance was remarkable at all services with an obvious movement of the Spirit as we celebrated the birth of our King, the Lord Jesus Christ!
  • Christmas Fellowship

    December 10, 2016
On December 9, all of our Crossroads Community Church congregations gathered at our Holmesburg facility for a Christmas Fellowship. We enjoyed pizza from the shop across the street, and plenty of homemade and store-bought Christmas cookies and other goodies! We played games, sang Christmas and holiday songs and enjoyed the season of God's love.
  • Thanksgiving Eve Service

    November 25, 2016
All of our congregations gathered together for a service of thanks and worship on Thanksgiving Eve. Community Grace Brethren Church (Shawn Kidder, Pastor) joined with us.  The attendance was really good, the worship was wonderful and the fellowship time was sweet. We praise the Lord for His bountiful grace!
  • Communion

    November 21, 2016
Our Holmesburg congregatiion celebrated communion yesterday following the morning worship service. It was a wonderful celebration remembering all that God has done for us through His Son, Jesus Christ. We celebrated Christ's present ministry through feet washing; His future ministry with a Love Feast; and, His past ministry through the Eucharist (partaking of the bread and cup). The attendance was good and the spirit was wonderful!
